Three Finger Fencl

"Bass Player Extrodinare" / Vocalist -

2008 marks the 30th year as a bassist for the founding father of Three Finger Fencl. Cutting his teeth among the awesome talent found in the Berwyn / Cicero area back in the 70’s, and early 80’s, he had the opportunity to work with many different artists of the area. 1993 marked the biggest musical leap when he was asked by Ralph Covert to be the backup bassist to Tom “Pickles” Piekarski in the legendary band The Bad Examples. In the 11 years with the group, and dubbed the Pickles Piekarski “protégé,” Duane had the experience of being on stage with some of the most talented players in Chicago. After doing some session work with Ralph Covert, and writing the original bass line to the song “Hideaway”, this tune was chosen to be on one of the “Ralph’s World” kids album, which was honored a Grammy nomination in 2006.
